Tampa to California move

Wow so I was quoted by [NAME EDIT] $1200 for a 15 x 5 storage move from tampa to orange county California the movers show up and quote me 2000 after they told me the $1200 price was for a 5x5, I never said I had a 5x5 I even listed out all of my items and made sure they knew it was a 15x5. I told them I couldn't afford $2000, it was $800 over asking, I told them I could only afford $1600 they said no, then I asked for a refund from [NAME EDIT] the guy who booked my move and he responded to my email saying "stop wasting our time" and You're not getting anything back I've called my bank and had to file a dispute on this transaction terrible customer service and even worse bidding. Total waste of time! Now [NAME EDIT] is calling me "you're such a little kissy I going to [EDIT] is what he told me" wow I just want my stuff moved from tampa to California if not cool just pay me back my deposit, you bidded me 1300 total not 2000 total stop bullying me dude not good for business reviews talking about how you want to murder me, police please investigate!!! Long-distance move from Florida to Texas

Awesome Move.

These guys were amazing. The office people as well as the actual movers were professional, courteous, thoughtful and polite. I'd recommend them to anyone in need of a mover. Moved furniture from Long Florida to Texas with no issues at all at a great price. Had to move items up a full staircase and they did it with no problems at all. They were actually a bit early to start the job which was perfect for us. If you need a mover, call Alpine Van lines Movers.

Torch your stuff before you hire them

You would be better off to torch your stuff and buy new when you arrive then to hire these clowns. EVERYTHING was broken when dropped off.

Literally couldn’t tell me when it was even going to be delivered.

Once you pay Chrishe will avoid your phone calls. The kids moving my stuff where really cool so I tipped them. The guy ordering them around was clueless.

This outfit might quote you lower than everyone else but it’s because all your stuff will be broken and they won’t tell you when they will arrive.

Oh, also they don’t mention you need to pay cash until you show up. Then you ask how to make a claim for your broken stuff and you get zero response.

My suggestion, hire literally any other company. This was completely unprofessional and ridiculous.

Long-distance move from Santa Fe, NM to Richmond, VA

Please, I want my belongings!

In August/September 2021 I contracted with Trinity Relocation Group to move my belongings from Santa Fe, NM to Richmond, VA. At the time I didn't realize that Trinity Relocation Group was merely a broker, not actually the movers! They never said anything to me or clarified that. They then gave the job to Alpine Van LInes who picked my belongings up on October 7, 2021 and were to deliver them to Richmond, VA in the next week or two. I have not seen nor heard from Alpine since. Alpine has everything I own and I cannot find them. They have changed their telephone numbers and are not answering their current number.

I have called Trinity over and over asking for their help. All they say is they cannot reach Alpine or someone will call back and never does. It is now January 18th 2022 and I am living in an empty house with a borrowed mattress on the floor, a chair and a borrowed table. I've had to buy simple kitchen utensils just to be able to make myself food. Alpine has basically everything I own, most of which can never be replaced. I am 75 years old, I just went through a painful divorce, I've lost my home of 30 years and am an emotional wreck! I just want my belongings back! I want to see justice for myself and others who have also been taken advantage of. Why are these people still being allowed to do business!?

Moving Scam Group for Consumers

Alpine Van Lines has different locations. I have been gathering information for two years. I know their history, owners, and who works for them. I have gathered their noncompliance records with Federal and State laws. A lot of you I have contacted but you need to contact our group through my email because you have only placed “share” and no contact info. It’s not to late and we need to do something. My sister died on April 13, 2021, one month after my inheritance of signed antique furniture, missing 5 boxes, and precious items from generations back. Please join our group. Jan

Long-distance move from Virginia to Florida

Rather carry my stuff over broken glass then use them again.

Started out good, got their name through a wbesite that bids out your move to moving companies. Contacted by Josh, who was very professional, and thorough - I thought. Came back with a moving estimate that I KNEW was way too low to be right - even after I called back and went through it with Josh several times. I took their bid and added 50% to what I set aside for the move. I paid my deposit and scheduled the move. Josh was calling me almost daily to that point - but once I paid my deposit, communication with him was impossible. Should have been my first clue this was going to go badly (there were many).
Get a call two days before the move - hey we need to come early by a day or reschedule two weeks back. WTH? Completely upset my planning and cost me extra money in travel so I could be back at the pick up location early. 3 kids show up in a moving van with big duct taped over holes in the box area, leaking oil, and later wouldn't start. They walk around the house and immediately go there's no way we can do your move for the agreed on price. They blamed Josh for under estimating the move (Josh wont answer the phone of course.) We go around and around for a bit with the companies owner - David Mishkin. We finally agree on the new price (orignal wad $2700 new price $4200). Not because I wanted to - but I was over a barrel at this point. To be fair, the kids worked their [EDIT] off to get loaded, and didn't leave a spare inch in the truck. But even after the new quote, not all of my stuff fit in their truck. So now I either have to pay them even more money to move the rest of my gear on a 2nd trip, or move it myself. So I spent another $500 driving back and forth with my own truck and trailer to finish the move. Once we get unloaded I realize their are some items missing, pieces of bookcase, part of some childrens furniture, wierd stuff. After a week of phone calls Mr. Mishkin calls me to say he has my stuff in his car, they forgot to unload it from the truck (Another WTH moment- forgot to unload 4 foot brightly painted furniture from the truck?) and he will bring it to me ASAP. A month later and after several phone calls, my last one with threat of legal action - I finally got my stuff - left on my porch at 3am on a Saturday.
During my unload I looked at a lot of my furniture to see scratches and dings all over. None of those concerns would be addressed by anyone in the company - they were too busy working on their next victim.
I've moved around the country before, I know how these things go - but this FAR and AWAY was the worst company I've dealt with or even heard about. Never, ever, ever again. I'd rather hire prison labor for my next move - it would be a better class of mover.

Long-distance move from Virginia to Colorado

Avoid Alpine Van Lines !!

This is the first time, I am writing a review online. I have never ever received such a worst service in my life. They are a big time money extortioners. My things were in Virginia and had already relocated to California. I asked my friend to be at the Virgina apt at the time to loading. The initial quote was given for 1500$, when they arrived to pick the items, they said inventory list provided is not correct and they will charge 3600$ for the things. The things missed in the inventory, were 2 side tables , 4 bags and a chair. Charging 2000$ more for that was too much. Movers said, the truck has cubic feet markers, after loading the truck, we will measure the cubic feet and charge. We said OK. After loading the items, cubic feet marker was at 350.We were thinking, they are going to charge for 350 cubic feet, 4.75 $ per cubic feet, which is 350 * 4.75=1557.5 $. Instead they charged for 650 cubic feet, suddenly adding 300 cubic feet, saying 300 cubic feet for the extra space loaded above the drivers cabin. We tried to explain him, the space above the drivers cabin, was not even half the space occupied by loaded items. We asked them to charge at least half of 350 cubic feet for that extra space on the top of drivers cabin. Joshua, the mover over phone started shouting, saying the space above the drivers cabin is 300 cubic feet. Joshua started yelling at me, saying"Do you think I am lying? Do you think, I don't know the size of my truck?? My friend said, "Do you think, we don't have eyes? The truck is right in front of me, and the size of the space above the drivers cabin, is not 300 cubic feet ." Arguments went back and forth between me,moving company person Joshua and the company owner Yaron. I tried to explain them, and what they are doing is not fair. Joshua and Yaron were shouting and yelling at me, thinking that by raising their voice they can get things their way. This argument went on for 3 hours over phone and I was physically and mentally exhausted.   Since I was already in California, and could no longer keep the stuff Virginia, I had to move the stuff. I was in a tough situation, and  had to agree to those movers. They took advantage of my situation.I cannot explain the mental agony I experienced that day, knowing the fact these movers are cheating me, but I was not able to do anything about it. when I asked them go back, even before loading the items,Joshua asked for 1000$ to go back, which was too much.   I had to call them several times, to find the delivery date. Every time I called Joshua, he would say, he was busy, as if I am begging for something from him. After many calls, got the delivery date. The things were delivered after one month, but half of the stuff was broken. My 42" inch TV, glassware ,lampshades, sofa were damaged. The worst part is they dint even take the additional insurance which I had asked them to take, for which they charged me 350$.  When I asked the insurance details, Joshua gave me a insurance policy number. When I called up the insurance company, they told there was no insurance taken in my name and also the insurance policy number , the moving company gave me was fake. The insurance company did not even have an insurance with that policy number. So now, I cannot even claim insurance money for my broken stuff. I ended up paying 4000$ to the movers , and had my stuff broken, so I have to buy them all new again, which is a waste of money. Don't go to Alpine Movers. You will end up losing money and all your stuff broken.  They charged me 4000$ for 1500$ work. They try to lure you by giving a really low quote initially, and will charge you like hell, when they come to load your items along with a bad service and mental torture. I highly recommend you to AVOID Alpine Van lines for your moving.

Long-distance move from South Carolina to Texas

Should have no stars.

First, company claims on everything you can find be it email, website or review sites to be A BBB rated.  Look at the BBB site and you'll find the truth.  No ratings and many complaints closed.  If it were not so difficult to file a complaint against a moving company I am very certain the number would be much higher.  Now for my personal experience.  Arrived a day late to start then insisted that what they saw in person was more then what they quoted so they changed the estimate.  (I estimated 40 boxes to them and actually had 25, so  hard to say I was over)  Dropped several wooden items onto the ground.  The owner Yaron promised that if I could get to my destination early, he would be able to get my things to me early (told by salesman Joshua that my things would arrive within 5-10 days, and this was in writing).  Long story short, they arrived near midnight on the 21st day.  My couch had a broken motor for the recliner, all the wood furniture had chips and large scratches where it had been dragged on the floor and the entertainment center had a leg broken off.  These guys will tell you anything to get your business and once they get your money forget about it.  Never received an update and when I would call and ask where my things were or when to expect it Joshua and Yaron both acted as if there was something wrong with that.  Very rude and unprofessional especially when they were late.  Do yourself a favor and go with an established company that has their own trucks and that does not have to fake BBB ratings.
