Tampa to California move

Wow so I was quoted by [NAME EDIT] $1200 for a 15 x 5 storage move from tampa to orange county California the movers show up and quote me 2000 after they told me the $1200 price was for a 5x5, I never said I had a 5x5 I even listed out all of my items and made sure they knew it was a 15x5. I told them I couldn't afford $2000, it was $800 over asking, I told them I could only afford $1600 they said no, then I asked for a refund from [NAME EDIT] the guy who booked my move and he responded to my email saying "stop wasting our time" and You're not getting anything back I've called my bank and had to file a dispute on this transaction terrible customer service and even worse bidding. Total waste of time! Now [NAME EDIT] is calling me "you're such a little kissy I going to [EDIT] is what he told me" wow I just want my stuff moved from tampa to California if not cool just pay me back my deposit, you bidded me 1300 total not 2000 total stop bullying me dude not good for business reviews talking about how you want to murder me, police please investigate!!! Long-distance move from Florida to Texas

Awesome Move.

These guys were amazing. The office people as well as the actual movers were professional, courteous, thoughtful and polite. I'd recommend them to anyone in need of a mover. Moved furniture from Long Florida to Texas with no issues at all at a great price. Had to move items up a full staircase and they did it with no problems at all. They were actually a bit early to start the job which was perfect for us. If you need a mover, call Alpine Van lines Movers.

Torch your stuff before you hire them

You would be better off to torch your stuff and buy new when you arrive then to hire these clowns. EVERYTHING was broken when dropped off.

Literally couldn’t tell me when it was even going to be delivered.

Once you pay Chrishe will avoid your phone calls. The kids moving my stuff where really cool so I tipped them. The guy ordering them around was clueless.

This outfit might quote you lower than everyone else but it’s because all your stuff will be broken and they won’t tell you when they will arrive.

Oh, also they don’t mention you need to pay cash until you show up. Then you ask how to make a claim for your broken stuff and you get zero response.

My suggestion, hire literally any other company. This was completely unprofessional and ridiculous.

Long-distance move from Santa Fe, NM to Richmond, VA

Please, I want my belongings!

In August/September 2021 I contracted with Trinity Relocation Group to move my belongings from Santa Fe, NM to Richmond, VA. At the time I didn't realize that Trinity Relocation Group was merely a broker, not actually the movers! They never said anything to me or clarified that. They then gave the job to Alpine Van LInes who picked my belongings up on October 7, 2021 and were to deliver them to Richmond, VA in the next week or two. I have not seen nor heard from Alpine since. Alpine has everything I own and I cannot find them. They have changed their telephone numbers and are not answering their current number.

I have called Trinity over and over asking for their help. All they say is they cannot reach Alpine or someone will call back and never does. It is now January 18th 2022 and I am living in an empty house with a borrowed mattress on the floor, a chair and a borrowed table. I've had to buy simple kitchen utensils just to be able to make myself food. Alpine has basically everything I own, most of which can never be replaced. I am 75 years old, I just went through a painful divorce, I've lost my home of 30 years and am an emotional wreck! I just want my belongings back! I want to see justice for myself and others who have also been taken advantage of. Why are these people still being allowed to do business!?

Moving Scam Group for Consumers

Alpine Van Lines has different locations. I have been gathering information for two years. I know their history, owners, and who works for them. I have gathered their noncompliance records with Federal and State laws. A lot of you I have contacted but you need to contact our group through my email because you have only placed “share” and no contact info. It’s not to late and we need to do something. My sister died on April 13, 2021, one month after my inheritance of signed antique furniture, missing 5 boxes, and precious items from generations back. Please join our group. Jan

Long-distance move from Virginia to Florida

Rather carry my stuff over broken glass then use them again.

Started out good, got their name through a wbesite that bids out your move to moving companies. Contacted by Josh, who was very professional, and thorough - I thought. Came back with a moving estimate that I KNEW was way too low to be right - even after I called back and went through it with Josh several times. I took their bid and added 50% to what I set aside for the move. I paid my deposit and scheduled the move. Josh was calling me almost daily to that point - but once I paid my deposit, communication with him was impossible. Should have been my first clue this was going to go badly (there were many).
Get a call two days before the move - hey we need to come early by a day or reschedule two weeks back. WTH? Completely upset my planning and cost me extra money in travel so I could be back at the pick up location early. 3 kids show up in a moving van with big duct taped over holes in the box area, leaking oil, and later wouldn't start. They walk around the house and immediately go there's no way we can do your move for the agreed on price. They blamed Josh for under estimating the move (Josh wont answer the phone of course.) We go around and around for a bit with the companies owner - David Mishkin. We finally agree on the new price (orignal wad $2700 new price $4200). Not because I wanted to - but I was over a barrel at this point. To be fair, the kids worked their [EDIT] off to get loaded, and didn't leave a spare inch in the truck. But even after the new quote, not all of my stuff fit in their truck. So now I either have to pay them even more money to move the rest of my gear on a 2nd trip, or move it myself. So I spent another $500 driving back and forth with my own truck and trailer to finish the move. Once we get unloaded I realize their are some items missing, pieces of bookcase, part of some childrens furniture, wierd stuff. After a week of phone calls Mr. Mishkin calls me to say he has my stuff in his car, they forgot to unload it from the truck (Another WTH moment- forgot to unload 4 foot brightly painted furniture from the truck?) and he will bring it to me ASAP. A month later and after several phone calls, my last one with threat of legal action - I finally got my stuff - left on my porch at 3am on a Saturday.
During my unload I looked at a lot of my furniture to see scratches and dings all over. None of those concerns would be addressed by anyone in the company - they were too busy working on their next victim.
I've moved around the country before, I know how these things go - but this FAR and AWAY was the worst company I've dealt with or even heard about. Never, ever, ever again. I'd rather hire prison labor for my next move - it would be a better class of mover.

Long-distance move from Virginia to Colorado

Avoid Alpine Van Lines !!

This is the first time, I am writing a review online. I have never ever received such a worst service in my life. They are a big time money extortioners. My things were in Virginia and had already relocated to California. I asked my friend to be at the Virgina apt at the time to loading. The initial quote was given for 1500$, when they arrived to pick the items, they said inventory list provided is not correct and they will charge 3600$ for the things. The things missed in the inventory, were 2 side tables , 4 bags and a chair. Charging 2000$ more for that was too much. Movers said, the truck has cubic feet markers, after loading the truck, we will measure the cubic feet and charge. We said OK. After loading the items, cubic feet marker was at 350.We were thinking, they are going to charge for 350 cubic feet, 4.75 $ per cubic feet, which is 350 * 4.75=1557.5 $. Instead they charged for 650 cubic feet, suddenly adding 300 cubic feet, saying 300 cubic feet for the extra space loaded above the drivers cabin. We tried to explain him, the space above the drivers cabin, was not even half the space occupied by loaded items. We asked them to charge at least half of 350 cubic feet for that extra space on the top of drivers cabin. Joshua, the mover over phone started shouting, saying the space above the drivers cabin is 300 cubic feet. Joshua started yelling at me, saying"Do you think I am lying? Do you think, I don't know the size of my truck?? My friend said, "Do you think, we don't have eyes? The truck is right in front of me, and the size of the space above the drivers cabin, is not 300 cubic feet ." Arguments went back and forth between me,moving company person Joshua and the company owner Yaron. I tried to explain them, and what they are doing is not fair. Joshua and Yaron were shouting and yelling at me, thinking that by raising their voice they can get things their way. This argument went on for 3 hours over phone and I was physically and mentally exhausted.   Since I was already in California, and could no longer keep the stuff Virginia, I had to move the stuff. I was in a tough situation, and  had to agree to those movers. They took advantage of my situation.I cannot explain the mental agony I experienced that day, knowing the fact these movers are cheating me, but I was not able to do anything about it. when I asked them go back, even before loading the items,Joshua asked for 1000$ to go back, which was too much.   I had to call them several times, to find the delivery date. Every time I called Joshua, he would say, he was busy, as if I am begging for something from him. After many calls, got the delivery date. The things were delivered after one month, but half of the stuff was broken. My 42" inch TV, glassware ,lampshades, sofa were damaged. The worst part is they dint even take the additional insurance which I had asked them to take, for which they charged me 350$.  When I asked the insurance details, Joshua gave me a insurance policy number. When I called up the insurance company, they told there was no insurance taken in my name and also the insurance policy number , the moving company gave me was fake. The insurance company did not even have an insurance with that policy number. So now, I cannot even claim insurance money for my broken stuff. I ended up paying 4000$ to the movers , and had my stuff broken, so I have to buy them all new again, which is a waste of money. Don't go to Alpine Movers. You will end up losing money and all your stuff broken.  They charged me 4000$ for 1500$ work. They try to lure you by giving a really low quote initially, and will charge you like hell, when they come to load your items along with a bad service and mental torture. I highly recommend you to AVOID Alpine Van lines for your moving.

Long-distance move from South Carolina to Texas

Should have no stars.

First, company claims on everything you can find be it email, website or review sites to be A BBB rated.  Look at the BBB site and you'll find the truth.  No ratings and many complaints closed.  If it were not so difficult to file a complaint against a moving company I am very certain the number would be much higher.  Now for my personal experience.  Arrived a day late to start then insisted that what they saw in person was more then what they quoted so they changed the estimate.  (I estimated 40 boxes to them and actually had 25, so  hard to say I was over)  Dropped several wooden items onto the ground.  The owner Yaron promised that if I could get to my destination early, he would be able to get my things to me early (told by salesman Joshua that my things would arrive within 5-10 days, and this was in writing).  Long story short, they arrived near midnight on the 21st day.  My couch had a broken motor for the recliner, all the wood furniture had chips and large scratches where it had been dragged on the floor and the entertainment center had a leg broken off.  These guys will tell you anything to get your business and once they get your money forget about it.  Never received an update and when I would call and ask where my things were or when to expect it Joshua and Yaron both acted as if there was something wrong with that.  Very rude and unprofessional especially when they were late.  Do yourself a favor and go with an established company that has their own trucks and that does not have to fake BBB ratings.

Best Company I've Ever Used!!

I created an account so I could tell you guys about this moving company Alpine Van Lines moved us from Florida to here in Colorado. They did overall a pretty good job ! Nothing at all was broken and all of my items were here. The big thing that we really loved was that they set up all of our furniture. My husband and I appreciated that greatly. Good company overall.

No, No, No!!

Chris, the supposed owner gave me a price quote for a long distance move and when I told him I wanted to think about he PROMISED my $200 would be refundable if I decided not to move forward. When I called back the next day to ask a few questions about the price, as I had seen better deals, he started screaming at me. I requested a refund and he sent a text stating he would process it. However, I could never get him to refund my money. I had to have my credit card company fight for me after placing a dispute with them. Chris is very unprofessional and handles his business dishonestly. DO NOT USE THEM!!

Do Not Use This Company - Terrible Service.

I was given a quote from John a month in advance of my move. Two days before, he called me to increase the price - basically leaving me with no other option in such a short amount of time. The scheduling of the actual move was terrible as well - they originally told me they could come in the afternoon but called the day before to change the time. They confirmed they would show up from 10am-12p, but showed up before 9am and left without waiting for me to come home. Literally the WORST service ever. I had the so called owner telling me they were no longer coming and to "figure something else out." They left me high and dry and I had to find a different company in such a short amount of time. The worst company and customer service I have ever seen. Don't waste your time. The price listed isn't accurate because I never actually used this company to move.

Long-distance move from Orlando, FL to New London, CT

Absolute Worst

The original quote covered 6 wardrobe boxes, 20 medium/large boxes, and 1 queen bedroom set. They ended up charging me extra because they picked up "a few extra boxes and peices." Secondly I had my stuff picked up October 17th with a requested and expected delivery date of 29 October. TODAY IS NOVEMBER 13TH, and it finally came. When I contacted the company to ask what happened around Oct 27th, they had no answer and said "we don't know why your stuff didn't make it on our first truck heading there, we're sorry." With the delay, of two weeks, we had to go out and buy everything that was packed with our HHG (i.e. work clothes, linen, kitchenware, utensils, etc). We still owed the remainder of $844 on the back end of delivery and on top of that, spent an additional $1,000 on essentials to live with while our stuff was still in transit. Their customer service "Ron" is a joke, a crooked joke if you ask me, and his counterpart, the one who picked up our things "Andrew" is just the same. I tried calling both of them and explaining that because of their (at fault) delay of our household goods, I had to come out of pocket for necessities, and for that would like a little compensation from the delivery fee ($200-$300) off from the final $844 owed. Well let's just say, Ron (customer service) said he had to talk to Andrew, then Andrew said he had to talk to Ron, they dodged my calls for days with no answer for any compensation. To this day, they are still giving me the run around like I'm an actual fool, but I'd rather you just tell me to go kick rocks rather than insult my intellect. AND PLEASE, if you use a company like this, make sure you have direct access TO YOUR DOOR to wherever you're shipping to/from. They won't tell you this, but if they have to take elevators, stairs, etc, they will charge you $100 more. And for every 75feet after that (each trip) they will charge you $75 each!!!! Luckily this didn't happen to me but this is how they scam you out of more and more money. This company "ALPINE VAN LINES" and many like it should be ashamed of how they do business and treat customers as useless piggy banks for their own selfish means.

A side note, the original person that quoted me was Jack. Nice guy, nothing to do with the trucks or packing. So I take none of this out on him. I would say that he deserves to work for a better company so his image won't be tarnished with theirs.

Honestly if I could give them a 0 star I would. The only reason I would give them 1 star is for the actual movers themselves because they were so nice. The company itself however are so rude and nasty. Contract says 15 days for stuff but it’s been almost a month now without an end in sight. They told me several times stuff was loaded and would be delivered for it to never happen. When calling in, the “manager” would yell and say that there is no one else to talk to but him. They would hang up or not answer calls. I’ve been so frustrated with the whole process. I will never use them again. They even charged me a $1000 over what we originally said.

SCAM......STAY AWAY AT ALL COST

In October of 2021 I hired Premier Global Van Lines to move me from New Mexicco to Florida. What I didn't know was they were going to subcontract my move to Alpine Van Lines. Alpine Van Lines (AVL) showed up to my house the morning of my move with 2 guys and a 26ft Ryder rental truck . I was told I would have a full size truck and room for all my belongings. After taking a full inventory list for the 3rd time I was told that I had went over my square footage and the price went from$7200.00 to $18,467.00. When I tried to cancel it they told me I would lose my deposit because I was passed my 72 hours cancellation period (even thou I didn't know about the increase 72 hours before). I was then told to let them load my belongings because most of the time it didn't take up to much room and the price would go down. Of course that didn't happen so I tried to cancel again and they told me they wouldn't unload my belongings and if I wanted my belongings back I'd need to pay an additional $5,475.00 for a total of $12,475.00 that I had paided with a final payment $5475.00 due upon delivery. I didn't know what else to do so I let them take the truck loaded with everything in the world I owned. They were supposed to take my belongings to Florida but for what ever reason they took the truck to Commerce City Colorado and put it in a storage unit. That's about 700 miles out of the way. They were supposed to arrive in Florida on October 10th or 11th but of course that didn't happen. I won't go into a bunch of details telling you what I had to do and how I finally managed to find out where they had put my belongings , but it was a lot. It took me 3 months to find out the storage unit and what the number of it was. I made dozens of calls, email and text before I found them. Even after I found out where my belongings were I couldn't get Alpine Van Lines to unlock the storage unit without paying them an additional $2000.00. That's called extortion which is illegal. I also had to pay another company to move my belongings from Colorado to Florida. After waiting 3 months when I received my stuff a lot of it was broken, damaged or missing. you could tell my boxes had been gone through . A lot of them they didn't even tape it back up. These people are thief's and all they do is work one scam after the other. Please stay away....they will cheat you out of everything.

Criminals

A moving broker hired these guys. They were late for pick up, charged me for 100 cubic feet move after my items were loaded in the truck, and then never delivered to final destination. I filed a formal complaint with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and learned I was one of 15 undelivered orders! I tried twice to return to Denver Colorado to retrieve my belongings myself. I had confirmation from Yaron both times that I could come and pick up my belongings. Both times turned into wasted trips costing me an additional $1200. I lost over $3,000 and my belongings were never delivered to their final destination after 4 months of nightmares. This company is unprofessional, unethical, and extremely unprofessional. They gave me no refund, no apology, or no thank you.

SCAMMERS

SCAMMERS…I would never have hired this company but was forced into it by another Scammer (Chris Johnson) who misrepresented himself and without my knowledge turned my contract over to these scammers. After giving the first scammer Chris from Lift Moving (these two creeps work together) a deposit, Alpine didn’t honor my deposit. They demanded more money and made threats to me like dumping my belongs on some curb side. After reading reviews on this company and checking out photos from people who have used this company, I agreed to pay my contract in full when my furniture arrived. Of course, they wouldn’t agree to that. They have harnessed me for several months with threats which I recorded. When asked where my things are they refused to tell me a location. When I looked up their address in Google map nothing comes up. The phone number on their website rings but never gets answered. Jack has called me from several times from different numbers, even from home because I could hear children in the background. Almost all calls were 2 way calls with his partner Yaron, and sometimes even 3 way with the other scammer Chris. What legitimate company does 2 way calls when talking to a customer.

Please check out the BBB reviews on this company which gives it a “F” rating. Needless to say, I have lost everything. I am a 79 yr old woman and these scammers have taken everything I own from me, my furniture, my clothing, my jewelry, and all my memorabilia that was so dear to me. I have to try and start my life over again at almost 80 yrs of age because of these creeps. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. That would be the only satisfaction I could get out of this horrible experience is by helping others in not going to the same terrible experience.

TIP…Spend a little more money and go with a well known and reputable company. It is not worth the stress and threats you will endure in dealing with this company.

Scam/Fraud:Orlando to Philadelphia

Scam, scam, scam… was quoted a price from Chris that didn’t match what it would have been if I sold some items, so I did and he didn’t correctly calculate the square footage. Then Lou the mover showed up by himself expecting me to have people help him unpack my stuff. He hired people off the street to move in my belongings. Brand new furniture, not even paid off, damaged! My hard wood floors, damaged. He didn’t even have moving tools. Ray the “owner” told me it was not his fault that the movers didn’t show up on site to help Lou. I had to give them the money order to get my stuff off the truck. Once I heard boxes work broken items and then looked more closely at the bedroom furniture, I cried hysterically. That’s when the people who were helping them told me the truth, they were picked up off the street and felt so terrible about my damaged items. 3 years later and I am taking them to court! June 9th. I hope they are shut down! Thank god for Erin Dunnavant! If you need an attorney in Florida, contact her!

Long-distance move from Tampa, FL to Provo, UT

Do not hire

We hired Alpine Van Lines through US interstate van lines (a broker) to move our one bedroom apartment from FL to UT. They showed up 2 days late. All they were doing was loading our stuff as I had packed everything including wrapping all the furniture myself. They loaded our things, then proceeded to tell us they were charging us $1,200 more than the original price. We agreed as our things were already loaded and we were eager to get out of our apartment because our lease was ending and we didn’t have time to find another moving company. They picked up our stuff and told us they would let us know once the van left Florida but to plan on delivery within 10 days. After 10 days of not hearing anything, we called only for Yaron (the owner) to tell us that he was unsure when the truck would leave. We got that same story (“we are unsure when the truck will leave”) when we would call about every 3 days to get the update on our stuff. After 21 days of us being persistent, we offered to fly to Florida to pick up our things, as we were living out of suitcases and sleeping on a blow up mattress in our new place in Utah. Yaron told us we could come if we paid and extra $1,290 and that he would not be able to give us the address to the storage unit. Finally after 8 weeks, we reported fraud with credit card a insurance companies, and we got an attorney who told them to bring our stuff within 10 days or to find another company to do it. About 2 weeks later a different company showed up with our belongings. Upon delivery we pointed out we were missing our bed frame (very large item), and 1 large box of items totaling about $1,500. I had taken a video of all of our belongings In boxes before the move so that I could tell easily if we were missing items. The 2 gentleman told me there was nothing they could do about it. I submitted a claim with the Alpine Van Lines and it has been 8 weeks of me calling, unable to reach anyone. Please please save yourself the money and stress and DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE.
